What is a Finder's fee
When we refer to a finder's fee we are referring to a percentage charged for the success of our work. With the exception of our top Gold Asset package, once you have purchased one of our asset search packages we will automatically send you a contract agreement that states that we will be able to charge you a success fee. In other words, if we do find assets for you then we need to be rewarded for our work.
Why do we charge a finder's fee
As mentioned above with our Gold Asset search package we do not charge a finder's fee, this is because the reality is the gold package is the package you should pay for but sometimes financial restraints are such that people cannot afford the top tier package.
The top tier Gold package should be purchased if you are looking for an element of certainty with regards to a person's assets and you are ultimately responsible for finding those assets. We offer lower packages that are more affordable that would probably be purchased if you are searching in a more speculative manner. In other words, you are reasonably sure someone had assets but you are just trying to check.
In our lower tiered packages (such as our Bronze package) the price does not truly reflect the work that goes into the search. Stamps, envelopes, postage, envelopes and admin are barely covered in the service. Therefore we at Fleetwood are carrying the burden of the work this is why we feel it is only fair that we should charge a finder's fee, aka a success fee if we successfully find dormant accounts or lost assets.
Legal Responsibility
In order for us to be able to charge a success fee you must legally be responsible for the estate you are looking in to. If you are not able to sign a finder's fee agreement then you must not purchase one of our lower tiered packages. You can of course purchase our top tier Gold Asset search, this is because the gold asset search does not come with a success fee.
